Pilatus has officially added Gogo Galileo as a factory-installed connectivity option for the PC-24, marking a shift in how the manufacturer addresses the demand for high-speed data in the light jet segment. By integrating the low-Earth-orbit satellite system directly at the factory, Pilatus aims to provide a seamless digital experience without the operational complexities often associated with aftermarket modifications.
The system utilizes the Eutelsat OneWeb constellation to deliver broadband speeds suitable for video conferencing and cloud-based applications. Both the FAA and EASA have certified the integration, ensuring the hardware meets global regulatory standards. According to the manufacturer, the installation process was engineered to maintain the aircraft’s aerodynamic profile, resulting in negligible impacts on cruise efficiency or climb performance.
Beyond connectivity, Pilatus partnered with Lufthansa Technik to refresh the cabin experience. New interior options include a 10-inch touchscreen interface, an interactive 3D moving map, and an upgraded audio system. These cabin enhancements, paired with the new satellite capability, position the PC-24 as a more competitive tool for corporate operators who require consistent connectivity during international missions. The move highlights a broader industry trend toward treating high-speed internet as a standard requirement rather than an optional add-on for modern business aviation.
