Boeing Activates New 737 MAX Assembly Line in Everett

Boeing has officially initiated operations on its new 737 MAX final assembly line at its Everett, Washington, facility. This expansion is designed to support the manufacturer’s push to reach a production rate of 47 aircraft per month.

The new production area, referred to internally as the North Line, serves as a mirror of the three existing lines currently operating at the Renton plant. By replicating the proven Renton processes, Boeing aims to standardize workflows and maintain consistency as it scales output to meet ongoing global demand for the narrowbody jet.

This development follows recent consultations with the Federal Aviation Administration regarding production capacity. While the new line is operational, its primary function is to support the broader manufacturing strategy rather than immediately altering current output rates. For operators and market watchers, this activation represents a tactical move to bolster supply chain resilience and provide the infrastructure necessary to sustain the targeted increase in delivery volume.

Boeing leadership previously identified the launch of this line as a key milestone for the 737 program’s long-term production roadmap.
