FAA Grants Type Certification to Boeing 737 MAX 10

The Federal Aviation Administration has officially granted type certification to the Boeing 737 MAX 10. This approval marks the conclusion of an extensive regulatory review process and confirms the airworthiness of the longest aircraft in the 737 family.

With certification secured, Boeing is now positioned to move toward the delivery phase for its airline customers. This milestone is a development for the company as it works to address the delivery backlog and stabilize production schedules.

The MAX 10 serves as Boeing’s primary competitor to the Airbus A321neo in the high-capacity, single-aisle market. Analysts have monitored this certification closely, as the aircraft plays a vital role in Boeing’s strategy to maintain market share against the European manufacturer’s dominant A321neo program. Operators who have placed long-standing orders for the MAX 10 now wait for formal delivery timelines to be finalized following the FAA’s decision.
