Textron Aviation has reached a production milestone with the rollout of the 500th Cessna Citation Latitude. The achievement comes just over ten years after the midsize business jet first entered service in 2015.
The aircraft, which has become a significant fixture in major fleets such as NetJets, was initially introduced at the 2011 NBAA Convention. It distinguished itself by being the first in the Citation series to offer a flat cabin floor and a new cross-section design. The platform is capable of accommodating up to nine passengers and offers a range of 2,700 nautical miles at a high-speed cruise of 446 knots.
Company leadership credited the production achievement to the workforce at the Wichita manufacturing facility. Since its service entry, the Citation Latitude has maintained a steady production pace, reaching the 240th delivery within its first five years and hitting the 400th unit by 2024. The 500th rollout confirms the ongoing demand for the model within the current business aviation market.
