Brian Rohloff Named Incoming CEO of Textron Aviation

Textron Aviation confirmed a major leadership transition on August 24, 2026, as CEO Ron Draper announced his upcoming retirement. Draper concludes an eight-year tenure leading the parent company of the Cessna and Beechcraft brands.

Brian Rohloff is scheduled to assume the CEO position on August 31, 2026. Rohloff brings nearly three decades of experience at the company to his new role. His background includes significant operational oversight, having served as Vice President of Quality and Vice President of Sales. Additionally, he previously acted as Senior Product Director for the Citation XLS+ and Citation X programs.

Industry observers are now looking to see how Rohloff will shape the company’s future strategy. Given his deep history with the Citation product line, many expect a continued emphasis on maintaining the firm’s dominance in the light and mid-size jet segments. However, the appointment also invites speculation regarding whether the company will adjust its focus toward emerging areas such as special mission platforms or hybrid-electric technologies. For now, the transition marks a significant shift for the manufacturer as it navigates evolving demands in the global business aviation market.
