Search Operations Underway for K2 Airways Boeing 737 Cargo Wreckage

Search and rescue teams have identified the submerged wreckage of a K2 Airways Boeing 737 cargo aircraft in the Arabian Sea. The freighter, which was en route from Sharjah to Karachi, went missing shortly after reporting a navigational system fault. Official recovery operations are now focused on the site located 53 nautical miles south of Ormara port.

Aviation data from Flightradar24 indicates the aircraft experienced significant instability prior to the loss of contact. Tracking records show the 27-year-old freighter engaged in erratic altitude changes, including rapid climbs and descents, before entering a final dive from 36,550 feet. Industry observers note that the flight path suggests a loss of control that deviates from standard emergency descent patterns.

Authorities are currently coordinating recovery efforts, which may require specialized deep-sea equipment to secure the wreckage for further investigation. There were five crew members on board at the time of the incident. This development follows a period of stable air safety operations in the region, with the last major commercial loss occurring in 2020.
