Flexjet Expands Brokerage Presence with Acquisition of The Jet Business

Private aviation operator Flexjet announced on June 12, 2026, that it has acquired London-based brokerage and advisory firm The Jet Business. The transaction merges The Jet Business with Flexjet’s existing FXSolutions arm, creating a unified global platform for aircraft transactions.

The Jet Business, founded by Steve Varsano in 2011, is known for its high-profile street-level showroom and extensive social media presence. Under the new ownership structure, the brokerage will retain its brand identity while gaining access to the broader resources and infrastructure of the Flexjet ecosystem.

Industry observers note that this move signals a trend toward vertical integration among major operators. For Flexjet, the acquisition provides a strategic advantage in fleet management. The firm intends to leverage the brokerage’s advisory capabilities to streamline the process of retiring older aircraft and integrating new, modern jets into its fleet.

Steve Varsano will transition into a new leadership role as President of Flexjet. In this position, he will focus on international expansion and product innovation. The acquisition follows Flexjet’s recent efforts to strengthen its European operations, including the development of a new private terminal at Farnborough Airport.
