Rather than being delivered in China, a 737 MAX made a 5,000-mile journey back to Boeing’s Seattle facility.

Amid the ongoing tariff war, a Boeing 737 jet that was supposed to be delivered to a Chinese airline instead flew back to Seattle. The aircraft left Boeing’s completion center in Zhoushan, China, but instead of reaching its destination, it returned to the United States. Flight tracking data revealed that the jet made a 5,000-mile journey across the Pacific, stopping in Guam before arriving in Seattle.

This unexpected return highlights the challenges Boeing faces in its business dealings with China due to the escalating tariff dispute between Beijing and Washington. The situation raises concerns about the future of Boeing’s operations in the Chinese market.
