Supersonic flight is no longer a dream of the past. Boom Supersonic is leading a new era of faster, quieter, and more efficient air travel, and it’s closer than you might think.
Boom’s upcoming airliner, Overture, is designed to cruise at Mach 1.7, cutting flight times in half for up to 88 passengers. For example, a typical flight from New York to London, which currently takes around 7 hours, could be completed in just 3.5 hours aboard Overture.

Their “Boomless Cruise” tech also enables supersonic speeds without generating an audible sonic boom on the ground, solving one of the biggest issues that ended the Concorde era.
Airlines are already onboard. United and American Airlines have placed orders and plan to begin passenger service as early as 2029.

Just this past March 25, Boom unveiled further progress on its program, showcasing advances in flight performance, noise reduction, and operational readiness.
The sonic boom is back. Only this time, you won’t hear it coming.
