On March 25, 2025, the public beta for Sim Update 2 commenced, marking one of the most substantial updates in the simulator’s history. This update encompasses hundreds of bug fixes and improvements, particularly virtual reality enhancements, platform stability, and aircraft improvements. In addition, there is plenty of new content in the marketplace. Participants in the beta have reported reduced stability in test build 1.4.7.0, an issue developers are actively investigating.

Following this, on March 27, 2025, a new pre-release test build (1.4.9.0) for Sim Update 2 was made available to players enrolled in the public beta. This build addresses the stability concerns reported in the earlier beta version.
